This map shows the proposed Balkans Peace Park, an area of approximately 4000 square km. Please note this is only a first, and necessarily vague, conception of the limits of the BPP area. We are currently working with our partners to develp a consultancy process involving local citizens, civil society, NGOs and Governments which we hope will result in a more precise and unviversally acceptable map.
The three countries/territories of the proposed BPP area are Albania to the South, Kosovo/a to the North East and Montenegro to the North West. Their borders are shown by thick purple lines. The proposed BPP area is shaded in pink.
Please contact Antonia Young if you have any comments about this map or about this conception of the proposed BPP area.
This is a Google Earth satellite image of the proposed BPP area, showing the whole of the Prokletije/Bjeshket e Nemuna/Accursed Mountains mountain range. To get more similar images of the area download Google Earth from http://earth.google.com/

This map shows (in larger scale) the area of the proposed
Balkans Peace Park in relation to the other countries
surrounding it. The green shaded area should be seen as a
vague indication of the BPP location, but in no way suggests
the proposed boundaries of the park.
This map shows the area of the ALBANIA-MONTENEGRO CROSS-BORDER SUMMER TREK (2007). The place called "Zastan Koliba" is where the Military Hut is. Okol is
unmarked in the bottom left of the map.
