  • FORUM (PLAV) - aidak@cg.yu
    Forum is a non-governmental organization/association, which was founded by NGOs, from Plav, Montenegro, in order to accomplish mutual goals. Their goals include: the coordination of NGO activity in accordance with promotion of the non-governmental sector in Plav Municipality; the promotion and the development of communication; exchange of information between Local NGOs; the cooperation with other organizations, government, local authorities, in order to protect and accomplish general and common interests of all members of the Forum; cooperation with NGOs from Montenegro, as well as, NGOs from abroad that have similar or the same range of actions.

  • NEW COMMUNITY (ALBANIA) NGO - newcommunity.al@gmail.com
    New Community promotes the values of an open and democratic Albanian society, human rights protection, establishment of peace and tolerance environment integrated with the community co-living. We work on conflict prevention and resolution areas and increasing the citizens' awareness. Our organization works to protect the citizens' interests and promotes the democratic governance in Albania. We urge the social and economic reforms to increase the community welfare. NCA is not an environmentally oriented NGO but we work for the preservation of green areas as we consider them as very a important part of the community life and future.

    NGO Green Home was founded by graduated students of biology science, 14. 02. 2000, in Montenegro as a non-governmental, not for profit and non-political organization. The organization appeared from the need for participation of great number of citizens in protection and conservation of environment, as well as taking an active role in civil society development through respect for biodiversity and efforts on sustainable development.

  • THE EUROPEAN GREEN BELT - www.europeangreenbelt.org/
    The European Green Belt inititative strives to create the backbone of an ecological network that runs from the Barents to the Black Sea, spanning some of the most significant habitats for biodiversity and almost all distinct biogeographical regions in Europe. The Balkans Peace Park forms a small link in the chain of this new trans-boundary protected region, which is transforming the former Iron Curtain along the borders of 24 countries. The European Green Belt incorporates over 400 individual projects.

    Based in Belgrade FRACTAL is a non-governmental, non-partisan, non-for-profit organization, acting as an action oriented think-tank for social change, focused on role of youth initiatives in improvement of communication and exchange between people from different national, ethnic, confessional, ideological and social environments.

  • REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL CENTERS - www.rec.org star
    The REC general mission is to assist in solving environmental problems by providing services, encouraging cooperation among relevant environmental stakeholders (including national and local governments, businesses, non-governmental organisations and citizens), supporting free exchange of information and promoting public participation in environmental decision making. There are REC offices in:

         Montenegro

  • THE SHALA VALLEY PROJECT - www.millsaps.edu/svp/
    SVP is an interdisciplinary, regional studies project focused on the Shala River valley of the Dukagjin region of the northern Albanian high mountains.  The project supports integrated programs of archaeological, ethnographic, ethno-historical, and geo-scientific research. They aim 1) to produce a diachronic record of the regional cultural resources, material and human, of Shala; and 2) to contribute to theoretical discussions regarding cultural isolation – why do some societies choose isolation over incorporation?

    Biking the Balkans is organized by UNESCO. The events emphasize the idea of sustainable development as a result of interactions between local initiatives and global networking. Participation in “BthB” is open to everybody.     The Environment and Security Initiative (ENVSEC) is a UN organisation which seeks to facilitate a process whereby key public decision-makers in South Eastern and Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus are able to motivate action to advance and protect peace and the environment at the same time.

    The Frosina Information Network is a leading source of information and services for Albanian and non-Albanian communities. FROSINA have published an article about the BPPP.

  • HIDDEN EUROPE - www.hiddeneurope.co.uk star
    The Berlin-based magazine, hidden europe, has regularly published articles on the Balkan region and in particular on the area covered by the proposed Balkans Peace Park. The magazine, published six times annually in English, celebrates Europe's lesser known communities, with a strong focus on social and cultural issues.     The International Institute For Peace Through Tourism (IIPT) is a not for profit organization dedicated to fostering and facilitating tourism initiatives which contribute to international understanding and cooperation, an improved quality of environment, the preservation of heritage, and through these initiatives, helping to bring about a peaceful and sustainable world.

    Founded in 1964, the International Peace Research Association has, ever since, vigorously promoted peace research and peace education. With over 1300 members from some 90 countries, IPRA is the most respected scholarly association in this field. IPRA has generously contributed funding for research on mediation in the BPPP region.

    The SEENET programme aims to support and facilitate the establishment of the Pan-European Ecological Network (PEEN) in South-East Europe and the Black Sea area.

  • THE UIAA - www.uiaa.ch
    The UIAA is the recognised International Federation and the acknowledged expert on all international climbing and mountaineering matters. The UIAA promotes access for the freedom to enjoy climbing and mountain sports in a responsible way and with minimum impact to the environment. The UIAA helps to protect mountain areas and climbing sites from damaging developments, and encourages development for local communities. The UIAA have published an article about the BPPP.

Time4Change, Inc. is a responsible, accountable corporation. While looking out for the people, Time4Change aim to set standards for progressive business practices. Time4Change recently made a donation to the BPPP.
